The Discerning Leadership Program, the UISG and the USG, offer a formation on leadership for Superiors General and General Councilors based in Africa, Latin America, India, and the Asia Pacific region, and over time, will continue to make the online offerings more widely available.

The formation will focus on the personal and spiritual leadership of the leaders to enhance their capacities to lead their teams and congregations. For more information, please see below.

For a Congregation to access participation, the Superior General of the Congregation has to participate. We encourage the participation of at least 2-3 Council members of his/her congregation.

It is very important to have a reliable internet connection to follow up and participate during the sessions. The formation will consist of 24-sessions online spread over in 12 days.

Methodology

The online formation combines inputs from experts, personal reflection time, and sharing with diverse peers.

Participants

• Superior Generals
• General Councillors
• 1-2 members nominated by the General Council who would subsequently share the leadership formation, process and materials with other members of the congregation

It is greatly encouraged the participation of a group of at least 1-2 General Council members including the Superior General.

Language

English, with simultaneous translations in French, Spanish and in other languages based on the demand.
