by | 9 June 2021 | News

We are very happy to welcome a new cohort of the Discerning Leadership Program (Programa de Liderazgo Discerniente in Spanish) during this first module in Spanish (8th – 11th) at the Pontifical Gregorian University.

There is a very rich group of 27 participants (13 women and 14 men) from 11 different countries. Of these, there are women and men religious, diocesan priests, as well as some laymen and laywomen.

The first day there were welcome addresses by the Rector of the Pontifical Gregorian University, Fr. Nuno da Silva Gonçalves SJ and the Executive Director of the Program Fr. David McCallum SJ.

These initial addresses were followed by a very interesting speech by the General Director of ESADE, Mr. Koldo Echebarria, in which he made a review of the evolution of Leadership and Management, and frame it it today’s context and challenges.

Last but not least, there has also been a bright and passionate intervention by Bishop Luis Marín OSA, Undersecretary of the Secretariat of the Synod of the Bishops, about the calling of Synodality today. After his initial intervention there were very rich interactions through the questions made by María Luisa of the Synod, Berzosa FI, Advisor of the Secretariat  and the rest of the participants.

We're passionate about developing the attitudes, skills, and knowledge of the senior Church leaders required to lead in a synodal manner.
